English language requirements for studying in Canada vary depending on the institution and program you are applying to. Generally, Canadian universities and colleges require international students to demonstrate their English proficiency through recognized language tests.

International English Language Testing System (IELTS): A minimum overall band score of 6.5 or higher is typically required, with individual module scores meeting specific program requirements.

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): A minimum total score of 90 or higher on the internet-based test (iBT) is commonly required, with minimum scores in each section as per the program’s guidelines.

Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL): A minimum overall score of 60 or higher is usually required, with minimum scores in each section as per the program’s requirements.

Pearson Test of English (PTE): A minimum overall score of 58 or higher is generally required, with minimum scores in each communicative skill area meeting program-specific criteria.
